Scientific сonference for students and young researchers of NBU
First place among young researchers won Pervin Dadashova, assistant of the Finance Department, with research entitled "Monetary Policy after Minimum Wage Change in Ukraine". In her study, the author examines the effects of a double increase in the minimum wage in Ukraine in 2017 and raises the question of the mutually agreed fiscal and monetary policy.
First place among the students won Pavlo Shykin, Master student of the Finance Department, with research "Conditional Value-at-Risk as Quantitative Measure of Systemic Risk Contribution of Ukrainian Banks". Pavlo used CoVaR approach (Conditional Value-at-Risk) in his research to identify those banks which owns the largest contribution to the formation of risk of the banking system of Ukraine and thus proposed additional modelling tool to assess systemic risk of the banking system in Ukraine.
