Econometrics

Econometrics is the core course for Bachelor program in Finance. It presents quantitative rules for economic processes with the help of mathematic and statistic methods and models. The aim of the course is to provide a solid theoretical understanding of econometric models: creation, investigation and role in the economic analysis and decision-making processes.
The main idea of the course is to capture large number of appropriate and present-day theoretical material along with the deep understanding of that how to implement given scientific base into practice. That is why the course is centered on three main, important in practice, topics:
- STATA, EViews Software
- Dispersion Analysis: ANOVA
- Regression Functions and Diagnostication: Fisher Criteria, Coefficients of Correlation and Determination



The Department of Finance prepares bachelors in “Finance and Credit." The primary emphasis is on developing financiers and analysts who receive contemporary knowledge and practical skills needed to work in a highly competitive labor market. The department employees are highly qualified professionals, authors of the books, monographs, teaching materials, leaders and performers of research projects and grants, who have been trained or worked in international universities. The well-known practitioners who actively combine scientific work with the practice were invited for teaching professionally oriented courses. It gives the opportunity for students to obtain scientific knowledge and skills. The department also maintains tight relations with leading international universities, allowing students to take an undergraduate internship abroad through international exchange programs.
